Sifu Keaka (Jack)
Starting in 1980 in Tai Kwon Do as a brief student of Master
Lee who worked side by side with the late Bruce Lee, Sifu Keaka's formal
Kung Fu (Gung Fu) training commenced in 1999 under world-renowned Kung
Fu Master and Chi
Gong (Qigong) "Chi - life force" expert Seng Au (Choy Li Fut & Hung Gar "Tiger-Crane" styles).
Recognized through multiple National and
International competition wins and by the Black Belt Hall of Fame,
Sifu Seng Au, who founded Au's Shaolin Art's Society, was a student of
Siu Lum Pai, a Kung Fu school founded by Master Bucksam Kong, who first brought Kung Fu and formal training to America in the early 1960's.
In addition to hundreds of hours of group class training in Honolulu (Chinatown),
Hawaii spanning fifteen years, Sifu Keaka also received intensive one-on-one
training from Master Gordon; a former student of Master Bucksam
Kong further refining his technique.
His passion for Kung Fu led him to Non-deadly Force Training,
continued workshops with GrandMaster Chen Yong Fa of Australia (a
direct decendant of Shaolin Choy Li Fut), specialized instruction with
Sifu Barry Hale (Sa Ba Jong expert) also of Australia, as well as
certification training under Bucksam Kong (Founder of Siu Lum Pai), who
is widely regarded as introducing Kung Fu (Shaolin "Siu Lum" Gung Fu -
Hung Gar style) to Hawaii in 1964, then introducing it in Los Angeles
and throughout America.
Sifu Keaka's teachings are
now available in group workshops. The NDFT, Kung Fu, Chi Gong,
StreetSmart Self Defense training are all available for most ages and
groups.
